Davids Funeral Instructions
The world is a quieter place today
Not peaceful, just quieter they say
David, my stitches does not believe
He thinks I have something hidden up my sleeve
But to be honest I won’t really say.
He says I am loud
For this I am proud
He has given instructions for his death...
I will carry them out
Just give me the shout
Remember I cant’ talk, I am not deaf.
So I will move on
Things must be done
A party I must now prepare
Here’s your invite, try as I might,
You David Williams, you have to be there.
There will be no black, you have asked that
Nor cut flowers will I ever send
A cardboard box I will send for you my dear friend..
I just found in lying in the lane.
I emptied it out, wiped it on out, so I think I can use it again.
David just jump on in
We’ll put you in the bin
The party starts as soon as the truck leaves…
Never mind about the will
We will all love you still
And can spread stories far and wide but not grieve…
Believe it or not,
This is all that I’ve got,
My chin hurts and is splitting at the sides…
So I’ll finish up
Before I run out of luck
And the damn stitches decide to divide.
When this peace ends I will find my true friends,
We will party on down to the end…
We will celebrate life, not death as you asked.
We’ll get together have a blast, the party will rock on as the truck away rolls,
We will do justice to you trying not to be blue, we promise to be happy souls
Don’t go just yet xx
