Darling, you are beautiful,
With your skin, hugged tight to your bones,
And your eyes softly, lightly - closed.
Long lashes brush your cheeks,
Peace settled on your brow,
I am in love with you, like this - right now.
Darling, you are so beautiful,
Frail and Fragile in my arms,
Close enough that I can keep you warm,
Your thin fingers splayed on my chest,
You feel like heaven in my arms,
Asleep, you hold my heart in your palms.
Darling, if you could only see yourself somehow,
See the light that shines inside your soul,
You are like a thousand radiant stars,
A white washed moon, lighting up the dark,
Every dream I ever had inside my heart,
You are so beautiful - it hurts.
Darling, when I look into your eyes,
I see a forest of beauty inside,
Brilliant Autumn light - sparkling through the trees,
You have this ability to awaken the best of me,
I love how soft you look when you are asleep, but-
I love it best, when you wake up and smile at me.
Darling, the whole world revolves around you,
Like midnight moths to a fire,
They are all vying - crying to touch you,
And I can not place blame on anyone of them,
I can’t help but touch you myself again and again,
You are more beautiful than the brightest flame.
Darling, I am lost in your beauty,
The magic of your smile, the lilt of your laugh,
It is music played on crystal glass,
Angel’s harps plucked couldn’t sound so perfect,
Head thrown back, diamond tears in your eyes,
I am filled, bursting inside with what feels a million butterflies.
Darling, your head resting gently on my chest,
The short ends of your hair brushing my face,
I never knew how empty I was,
Before you filled my soul - so completely,
You awaken every desire within me,
You are so beautiful, you are so beautiful, you are so beautiful.
Darling, you are wrapped around me, and I around you,
I see nothing in the world but you,
The universe could beg for my attention,
But all I would see, is you lying here in my arms,
The most beautiful thing in all the world.
