Precious peace, lost in the shadows Stirring of doubt, regrets compose Challenging hope with silent tears Ghastly woes, brought to life in fears Confusion slows the dreams, turmoil Steaming within, despair will spoil Darkness quiets as the storm clears Ghastly woes, brought to life in fears Healing softens the blows, mending Chaos felt by hearts contending With mental illness which lasts years Ghastly woes, brought to life in fears Precious peace, lost in the shadows Ghastly woes, brought to life in fears Kyrielle Sonnet – Written October 20, 2022 ER: Enlightenment Recovery Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Chantelle Anne Cooke

Another thought provoking poem Regina. To my mind the quickest thing to disrupt peace is regret. Hard to recover from because we cant turn back the hands of time. Only the answer to our prayers can help us recover. As the others have said, good luck in the contest this is definitely first class.

Well done, dear Gina! The cause is critical and difficult, long-lasting and often fatal.
