Darkling Castle
My mind is a sea at dawn
flush with the colors of a song.
I know that it could do no wrong
as it travels through and on.
She came to me with smiles fair
and wished that I would have a care.
Although the rendering wouldn’t dare
to come out of its knowing lair.
What beauty that I will behold
is like a story never told.
The light that can never be sold
and yet delivers an unending toll.
Tomorrow the harp will be played
and has no more I wish to save.
The notes have much that I would say
from the darkling castle grave.
