Dark Reflections

DARK REFLECTIONS by JOHN M. ARRIBAS I praise the darkness, so I may hide The gargoyle memories within reside The thoughtless actions, I undertook The damage caused: I dare not look The avaristic path, I chose to follow Castrated my senses, left me hollow Failed to hear, the desperate cries of woe Preferred to ignore them, the choice I chose I raided the coffers looting and plunder Now I find myself alone; is it any wonder? I am surrounded by a mountain of wealth Physical treasure, did not save my health I’ve become remorseful, or, could it be fear I contemplate my future as I await the bier
