Dare We Bring Poe, Raven From Darken Grave Renewed Poets Tribute Series Second poet, Edgar Allen Poe Hating blade yet they are so quick to cut in glee at dark spilled blood, yet lack the guts walking forth with halo's, prayers said in haste may find dark verse is neither bad, nor waste. Remove harden anger, pie from black eyes Life may be wishing but truth never dies Art's true power, is in poets that are free as birds in a magnificent bright tree. When verse sings reality in dark tune no cloud hides the sweetness of golden moon when inked words are strong, so bold and so dark poet shows Life, even if sad and stark! We live, we boldly write, we do not cave Dare we bring Poe, Raven from darken grave! Robert J. Lindley, 7-30-2019 Sonnet, ( A Poet Must Write What Soul Sends, Heart Sings ) (2.) Annabel, Do You Gaze, From Time's Ancient Skies Annabel, you inspired words that gifted us all Such as never before seen, on this earthen ball. With pain and insight, Master Poe over you wept Deepest in his broken heart, your love was there kept. Annabel, you inspired words that gifted us all With that blessing many have answered its great call. As Master Poe, we came to see and understand Life is not all rosy, sweet music from a band. Annabel, your image now burns in poet's brains Master Poe's love for you, tempers this world's dark stains. Yes, our ink now wets new pages, hopes for tomorrows As we read saddest words of Master Poe's sorrows. Annabel, for a goddess your were in disguise. Are you now looking at us, from Time's ancient skies? Robert J. Hi Robert, I am sorry I am a bit late with dropping by. Arthritis in the hands has kept me off-line. Poe has always been one of my favourites. As always Robert, from the first line, you had me hooked. You bring back true poetry before us. This is such a wonderful tribute, one master writing a tribute for another master. This is excellent poetry Robert. Your poetry shall always sing in a master's tones. Brilliant work Robert. Have a wonderful Friday. Your friend always....Mike. A Fave

You did dare, Robert. A great tribute to a great poet. P.S.: Poets come out of the darkness and go back into the darkness. Poetry remains. The darkness either.

Thank you my friend. Poe was not only very creative but he understood mankind, its evil nature and the keen interest that people have in reading about the dark! To be a poet and not read Poe, seems to me to be a bit like a fisherman that does not bait his hook...Thank you for yor commenting, God bless..

Thank you my friend. Such is the truth and such should be honored by more poets in my humble opinion. I think a great failure in modern poetry is its walking away from its foundation and its legendary and golden poets of old.

Thank you my friend. Your notice of the depth and truth in the closing- reminds me yet again of your immense poetic insight and your own honorable and dedicated approach to the beauty, infinite wonders of Poetry and its treasured gifts gifted unto this too oft dark and savage world! Such marks an honorable man, a defender of truth and a poet of great measure, IMHO.. God bless, you and yours...

Thank you my friend. Always a true blessing to find that a fellow poet sees, understands and appreciates ones work, and the Depths of Truth, Life, Messages,Imagination, and Inspirations that birth such creations. To give to a poet that is in need* true blessing of sweet kindness and good cheer* Feast inspiring creative blood to feed* on courage's meal, to battle darken fear*.... Donner à un poète dans le besoin vraie bénédiction de gentillesse et de bonne humeur Festin d'inspiration créatrice de sang à nourrir sur le repas du courage, pour combattre la peur obscurcir

Thank you my friend. I am sworn to follow the course governed by a lifetime of Poetry, realizing its truths, lights, darks, blessings, healings, love, inspiration, imagery, imagination, and humanity's strengths and weakness illuminated for those that want knowledge to read, enjoy, absorb, use and love. Yes, such can and does get one vilified.
