Dancing Underneath the Moonlight
As I sit alone in my favorite easy chair
I glance at the fireplace.
Then I'm transported back in time to
another time and place.
You and I were dancing underneath
the moonlight.
We danced and danced all through
the night.
Nature was our orchestra that evening
it played a lovely tune.
It was our honeymoon night, my love
the first of June.
We had such an amazing life, and I love
love you still.
You added so much to my life and gave
it such a thrill.
As I sit by the fireplace, I can still feel you
next to me.
Until I see your face again, my darling
you hold my heart's key.
