Dancing Leaves
I watch the old leaves flutter in the breeze
On the tree that doesn’t let them go
All through winter they stay through storms,
Cold and falling snow
Tan in color, pale by spring
Worn and tattered a bit, still hanging
Delicate but strong, holding on each winter season
As we all do with some things, for a reason
Right now, they’re dancing in the sunlight today
Some things are worth holding onto, I’d say!
