On the breezes to sink and rise, Flutters scented bird of paradise, In the days of mauve butterflies, They captivate all waiting eyes! Bittersweet in fate, days go by, Under the dreaming summer skies, 'Til evening finds beauty's prize, Now dancing with the fireflies!

So LOVELY! A real gem, Evelyn. It cheers me up just to read and re-read it! Thank you! Joy and Happiness, Gershon P.S. It seems to me that this poem is just perfect for any one of Brian Strand's contests. ~ gw

Thank you so much, Gershon. You've already brought me joy and happiness with your kind words. I'm afraid this poem is a bit late for Brian's contest. Contrary to rules, this poem is illustrated. Perhaps I'll enter his next contest. Best of wishes, my friend. :)
