Daisy
old, witherd, tired woman
lay accross your bed
hear the shotgun thunder fire
into the sky of red
the sea bellow crash on the rocks
on the batterd shore line
the srteets are dark, dull and mist rolling down the road
well your dreamin of better days
walking through summer haze
you were younger then
in summer rain
as you pull your brim hat down to
hide the lines from your face
not to show your growing frown
hay there mam whats your name
daisy i here you say
why you trying to hide away
you were prety in your day
young prety, restless lady
ley acceoss your bed
see the sunshine through your blind
makin shadow on your wall
the sea bellow
is calm and clear
and the breaze make whistle in the air
the street light burn with yellow flame
and the stars are high in the sky
you were dreamin of days to come
what will you become
youll be older then in summer rain
as you hold your brim hat high
you see a boy who asks your name then slowly walks on by
excuse me mam but whats your name
dasiy you reply
he said you look like winter sun
poring from the sky
