Daily Routine
An early start at half past five,
Driving to work barely half alive,
Car wipers working winter mist,
My brain planning the work list!
Must be there at half past seven,
Boss will have no excuses given,
The traffic hopefully is not so bad,
Clear weather would make me glad!
Hundreds of cars on the big highway,
Dazzling car lights racing your way,
driving like crazy on either sides,
Caught in the wave of human tide!
Back home at my door at about eight,
Dark mornings and even darker night,
My dog’s tail wag greets me in the hall,
Wife’s eager kiss, and then dinner call!
Five days work madness every week,
Then the respite of the two day break,
Holiday season awaits end of June,
I hope that month, comes rather soon!
