DADDY FLASHES

Heart-fragile, love flashes that my memory stashes
live on to hurt me in sentimental, joyous ways;
his dog tags, medals and ring sit in my jewelry box, and
I am soothed mumming around home wearing his old socks.
Time fragments and slivers dwell tenderly in my thoughts.
