I think I was five years old on this most hisrtoric day. The sad day, lives of history’s heros, were taken away. Survivors in their nineties in Normandy today do salute, 4,000 young died hunting Nazis in this righteuos pursuit. They swam, fought and climbed the white cliffs of Dover. To assue freedom again reigned, and the war was indeed over! 6/6/2024

Their sacrifice echoes through the generations. Eloquent and soul stirring D-Day tribute, a forever salute to them. Blessings to you, dear poetess. ~

Indeed it does, Regina. Those were the days, eh! When people ubderstood what enemy was, now, here we are! In a pretentius oritibed nation, where we think nobody hates us! Sure, thats why Russia sent warships to Cuba and Venezuela! Hitler would have ruled here had there been no D- Day, countries now have hippie brainitis, Their nations invaded by peaceniks., like the Summerof Love in San Francisco’70! Those on D- Day, were such brave souls! Courage in short supply now. Pride in country these days is a vice, not a virtue. Pangie, thank you for contrivuting today!

Oh, Victor, I am sorry you were hungry! People worldwide suffered loss and less fooe, being only 5, I mostly remember friends of my parents in uniform who never came back! My Dad’s business had a large baseme. We had to go down there when their were so many air raid drills. No lights, just 50 or so, frightened Americans. The bottom line! We survived that war and those that followed,)) hope to meet you at the Golden Gates,,,Pangie …bless you.

I'm joyful to read this poem, today on D-Day. Family members joined and served. No matter what happens in the world, I am Ametican. It's very patriotic that you wrote these words.

Hi Hilda! These days most peope only want to hear happy talk, drink Lattes, tell jokes, and think we have no emies? Really? With a ship coming to Cuba? They will support Zelensky and give a thumbs up to October 7ths’pogrom. Even turn their backs on the very nation this occured in and its citizens? I am an ubabashed patriot! I was told when I got here to not write anything like this and do I care? I didn’t come here to be loved! Just write what I think honestly and find out what happens to you. Great things! Cowards will run from you. But you will find your brother and sister patriots,How great you are one! I warctched GB news, Awesome, hugs, Pangie
