Notes About The Poem

For Sotto Poet's 'Waka-Sonnet Fragment' Contest

Edited for another contest

Crystalline

she walks on stage
     s p a r k l i n g
                   like a jewel
when she o p e n s
       her mouth
                       we lean
                         keenly forward
 to hear
             her crystal voice

You took me there, and to me it was Adelle that came out at first, but she shifted into Barbra with the word 'crystal.' Don't ask me why/how, I'm not in charge of where my thoughts do and don't go.
