Cry For War

They burst in the skies Like radiant May flowers They bring no joy Only death and despair Death unto death We're dancing in their skeletons A prophet of war Profiteering from distraction Sick children call for mom But they'll never hear her call The clock will strike midnight And an ignorant generation is lost Actors turned politicians The greatest dealers of death Do you still cry for war Knowing it will end us all

Very good prose Christopher. Nations would long have agreed, were it not for a greed. Guess the trouble with standing armies is that they get tired of just standing around.
