Cruel-Hearted Times Like These
I feel like giving up sometimes
I don't know who I am at times
Feeling my way through the dark
I am singing loud like a lone lark
I am rebuilding myself like Noah's mighty ark
I feel happier in my shoes, my muse
Who knew I'd be giving such news
I found someone who cares for me
Who loves me sincerely...oh so dearly…
It's enough to break the boundaries of shame
It's enough to let the floating flames in me tame
Life is tough on the ones who try, try, try
Life is cruel-hearted and I don't know why
Cruel-hearted somewhat like you and I, you and I
Back then when we had everything, I can't deny
Cruel-hearted people make me want to die, die, die
But, I try, try, try to make it alive this time
This time, we should try to fly, yes, you and I
I feel happier in my shoes, my muse
Who knew I'd be giving such news
I found someone who cares for me
Who loves me sincerely...oh so dearly…
It's enough to break the boundaries of shame
It's enough to let the floating flames in me tame
Life is tough on the ones who try, try, try
Life is cruel-hearted and I don't know why
I feel like the walls are caving in
Ceiling's crumblin' from deep within
I want to be released from this chamber of fear
I want you and I to get the hell out of here, here, here
I feel happier in my shoes, my muse
Who knew I'd be giving such news
I found someone who cares for me
Who loves me sincerely...oh so dearly…
It's enough to break the boundaries of shame
It's enough to let the floating flames in me tame
Life is tough on the ones who try, try, try
Life is cruel-hearted and I don't know why
I arrive complete, for the war is fought and over with
Our lives are made of the finest titanium I do believe
You arrive incomplete, for you lost your way in the labyrinth
In this battle of the blues, it is hard to fight the urge to grieve
I no longer feel like giving up, love
I know who I am and what I'm capable of
Cruel-hearted times like these
Will be gone in a single breeze....
