Crossing the Bridge Alone
Tell me something new,
something I have never ever seen,
your face blocks the light,
and I have lost sight,
of reality
for my life is just a smokescreen with a rope bridge from my world to reality
the crossing is treacherous and lonely
for I cannot do this alone
the only thing that is stopping me is being lost and in a daze in your eyes
I shall stay in the rain
and this seems all in vain
for the change of scene
brings new meaning to me
if you were to meet me halfway I can make it
I am a survivor I guess
but you shall never make the journey in meeting me halfway
I am not the one you seek,
and though i have tried
I have come up meek and scared
for being lonely is all I know and all I ever shall be!!
