Crimson Dancing

Following the night and twisting and turning, laughing and dancing, lifting and yearning- Barren skin held within, she’s covered in sin, DANCING to escape, crimson fire burning. Pale and silky nape with straps to carry her graceful smooth shoulders as she tarries- She need not WORRY about anymore pleasure, she’s beauty and pity combined, my poor Carrie. Free to do what lovers choose to fear, with a medallion hibiscus above her left ear- Her happiness vanished the moment she drifted, as her lover gently wipes away a TEAR. Dramatic and lost in a time of mourning, touched by APPREHENSION without warning- Confidence prevails as she figures out a way, to not wake up with anguish in the morning. She bows her head thinking of days of yore, for now, her life isn’t as it was before- Her sins were many, her condemnation ran wild, striving to free her life from ABHOR. Dreaming and gleaming and risking her life, trying to be a grateful mother and wife- Living and giving all she can to others, leading and pleading for him to steal her strife. Gray skies follow whenever she’s around, CRYING and hiding in the lost and found- She knows not why her life is full of pain, her dreams are seen only from the ground. May her days be filled with happiness and ease, may her tomorrow be full of nature’s breeze- May her sorrow release her crimson dancing, may her heartbreak go... her torment CEASE. I loved your take on the actual image, focusing on the lady.. A great imagination, always great to think out of the box.. I think many women have this struggle and will relate to this poem.. Congratulations on first place in the contest..

A great interpretation of the painting, though with sad tones, Luloo, and I like that final stanza:)
