Created In the Heart of a Star
Who am I? Where do I come from and how did I come to be here?
The greatest scientists and philosophers have pondered those very same questions
for many centuries, decades, years.
Be that as it may, I believe that today that in great part the mystery has been solved.
From so simple a beginning, all things most beautiful and most wonderful
have been and are being evolved.
Twinkle, twinkle little star. I no longer wonder what you are.
Because of one much like you who died so very long ago
the Milky Way and all its contents to that departed star we all owe.
Your sister died and through her death she created the birth
of other stars, our solar system as well as all life here on earth.
Nursed by warm sunbeams in primeval caves
organic life begun beneath the waves
and then hence without pant by spontaneous birth
rise the first steps of animated earth.
If I were to witness the death of a star,
my heart would be so filled with such great adulation,
for if I were to witness the death of a star,
I'd be witnessing a moment much like our creation.
So the next time someone asks you where you're from
tell them that you come from a place very far.
A far away place out there in outer space.
Created In The Heart Of A Star.
