Crazy Cat Lady
CRAZY CAT LADY
Two cats in the house, one white and one black
The fat woman calls one Kite and the other Jack
Wherever she goes her company they always keep
On her both sides every night they would sleep.
Jack would climb and roll on her broad shoulder
Kite would sprawl on fluffy thighs for she is older
As the lady sits on the sofa knitting a red sweater
Fur and wool strands make her a colorful character.
In separate bowls she’d give food to Jack and Kite
For she needs peace, won’t like to see them fight
All sounds of the room shut off she sits in the dark
Listens happily the rhythm of the cats’ silent walk.
She wouldn’t let anybody touch and caress her cats
Nor would she allow them to be called animal pets
For Jack and Kite have become her children already
She doesn’t care if people cat call her crazy cat lady.
