Cowboys and Indians 2023

The cowboys always won The Indians always lost I yearned to see a cowboy with an arrow through his chest But then I read a story 'bout a cowboy who'd been scalped Promised to myself, I said Now I'd see a red man dead Put on two toy store holsters Courage blazing from their guns Bagged me the bony remnants Of a graveyard skeleton Blood-curdling Scene ~ Happy Halloween!

I never want to see anyone dead. Lol but the scalping must be an answer to other atrocities like the battle of wounded knee. We often romanticize killing. But only God has the right to unalive. Lol As for the graveyard raid you were indeed brave.

A Halloween tale, that didn't end well. I liked the Lone Ranger and Tonto working together, that's no very scarry thought ... except for the bad guys. Bill

Was your graveside skeleton The cowboy that was done (Scalped) Or the Indian that was shot with a gun? Who was the winner In my opinion, NONE!

COW boys, what a demeaning way to refer to young men, perhaps we should outlaw such horribly offensive speech. The Indians left Cleveland now it may be time to get the Cowboys out of Dallas

a delightful Halloween read. When I was little, I played Cowboys & Indians with my brothers...actually I was the only girl in our blue collar neighborhood. Seems like I was always the Indian whom those boys shot. Maybe it's because I didn't have a bow and arrows. Me thinks it's because I was the only girl. Anyway, I digress.
