Courtsey and Respect

Manners are becoming sorely deficient,
as mobile devices play a larger part.
Teenagers see this as making life more efficient,
seems no longer is the horse before the cart.
Most everyone I meet has a device in hand,
texting another while making conversation.
Keeping up with their peers makes life grand,
while always facing some new temptation.
They bare heart and soul on some social site,
Where friends of friends can take a look see.
Searching for things in which they delight,
but I’m an old geezer, who listens to me?
