Courting
Someone asked the other day if I was courting or seeing anyone
I hope you don’t mind, I’m sure you’ll understand
For it’s four months to the day I’ve been your favour
Nothing really serious I replied just a little OFF and ON
I said you liked having it OFF
But I only got it if you weren't ON
I don’t know how you put up with me but I hope you carry on
Though you never complain about my inadequacies
There’s sometimes the odd groan and murmur
I said one day I hoped to be able to turn you on
For that day will be one I truly savour
