Courage

Lord, give me courage to go on
when discouraged I may be.
Give me a vision of Your Son
whose done so much for me.
Help me to know that in my loss
I shall never be alone.
That with life, I'll not be cross
but seek Your throne.
In Your good time just let me heal
Lord, allow my pain to end.
I pray Your touch I might feel
as my heart begins to mend.
I've given no space to You before
until found in this sorrow.
But now You’re needed all the more
as I dare face tomorrow.
Help me I pray, know what to do
that I could be made whole.
From this day forth I'll live for You
If You'll just save my soul.
Written for a friend without God
who has lost a spouse.
