I always loved those 5-7-5 syllable haiku. Then, the haiku "talk" began. Joy became pain. Writing from the heart became passe. So, for that moment, I rejected the rip-roaring critiquing and continued writing from the heart about whatever I wished, many 5-7-5 NATURE-ish poems. Later, when I felt strong enough, I dove into the hot water and started trying to understand what all of those short-haiku "experts" were talking about. I am now on the edge of understanding, enjoying both. Smiles.

thumbs way up.. raucous, now there's a word that doesn't get aired out enough. Poor thing hangs in a closet and gathers must. You may want to check out my "This will get me in trouble" posting. I think you may like my humour. Hugs ta ya. Cyndi
