Corridors of Uncertainty

Walking on my own The future unknown Where do I go now? I wish it was shown... Thinking figurine My future unseen Which door will open? Stranded in between... Unsettled ambler The future a blur When will dreams come true? No one can augur... Confused and crazy The future hazy What will happen next? Life can be mazy... Corridors all blear The future unclear Who will walk with me? I wish you were here... Pathways untrodden The future hidden How long must I wait? I'm still uncertain... 11/20/17 Contest: Empty Your Soul With Words Sponsor: Broken Wings

Jo, what a masterful Rubaiyat you portrayed. You are one of those people that I walk with, as matter a fact look behind you, I'm there..... I'm searching for any kind of answer myself.

A great piece, Jo, sums up all of our dilemmas as we sail through life. And we do sail- we plot a course and adjust our tack as we go along. Congrats! Viv

Jo - this is excellent writing, brevity conveying so much while remaining poetically true to form. This is impressive, easy to relate to and excellent writing. I see it placed and I'm glad, for nothing else would have made sense. Hugs ... CayCay

None of us really know how long we have to wait but what we choose to do while waiting will determine the outcome of what we are searching for, congratulations on your win

I came back to yours to read it again. It's really cool the form you used. I am surprised you chose this theme. It just did not occur to me it would be the one you chose for yourself!

Well written poem Jo Daniel. I'm sure this applies to many. You know my answer. Why Paul and Silas sang in prison. He Radiates Light and knocks down walls. All in His time. Take care and God bless.

WoW! Jo, You did a good job with the contest theme. Many will be able to relate to this poem because we all have felt "uncertain" of the future. I wish you the best of luck in the contest:-) Alexis
