CONSUMERISM
Consumer rules we must obey
increase self-gain in every way
we shall consume more every day
so we buy junk we do not need
in supporting the game of greed
which makes our precious planet bleed
we are locked in and can’t get out
but now in us there’s growing doubt
as nature’s rules we simply flout
with much joy we now speed ahead
ignoring traffic lights at red
but now the crash some start to dread.
