Consumed With Each Touch

She was passion personified With suicidal tendencies One step from going over the edge A lopsided smile with a twinkle in her eye With just a hint sadness She moved with the grace of an angel Hearts fluttered as she walked by Men intoxicated by her presence A fight could break out at a moment's notice Drama just followed her like a queen Men sacrificed themselves on her altar Drawn to sexy wrapped with a crazy bow She consumed them with each passionate touch Needing their love to satisfy that longing Yet there wasn't a heart where it could flow When morning comes their beds are empty She rises before the light of day Away from them their imagined angel She leave a feather on their bed Heads out the door and flies away Imaginations

oh my, Richard, this is a lot like the woman in my poem I called "Her Sustenance." Except mine is about the Goddess of Love (lust). and yours is too (she is a wayward angel!) Love it.

She could have had any man's love but it seems there was no place for a heart in her life.No strings attached...A very sad and well crafted poem.To share the most intimate of you without somrone you dnt love is many's reality nowadsys.Im just the old fashioned kind : ) Excellent visionary and thought.

Thanks Donna, I woke up with the first two lines bouncing in my brain. I had to write them down before they evaporated.

There is some fierce strength in these lines. I am applauding loudly from California at the truths behind this writing. Excellent work!

Ahhhhhhh.....hmmmmmmmm.....well..........WOW! Very very well written Richard....Amazing, to be honest! May I point out a few things? Just because I want nothing to detract from this piece? Moments needs an apostrophe before the S....Last line of 3rd stanza...THERE instead of their! Last line...FLIES...It isn't that DARN spellchecker...It was the burning state of your mind when you wrote this! ;)
