Being residents of this planet Earth
endowed are we with conscience since our birth
voicing out that we’re members of mankind
so to each one we must be nice and kind.
Molded through right conduct in our childhood
we heard conscience of, “that’s bad” or “that’s good”
like Dad and Mom’s reverberating “yes”
for pleasant deeds, and “oh, no” for not yes.
Toward maturity-ascent, such voice
whispered that we rejoice in our best choice
having been groomed to listen truly well
to conscience-counsel and warning as well.
Now, granted by Christ freedom from sin-guilt
we have conscience spiritually rebuilt
anchored upon Scriptures for virtues’ gain
echoing love, forgiveness midst faith reign.
Thus blest with the Lord God’s redemption bliss
conscience* resounds: “Gratitude not to miss”
since thankfulness always brings great delight
even transcending our heavenly flight.
*Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
