Confessing and Blessing
Confessing and Blessing
Have heard about hopes and fears of all the years
Along with many cheers followed by happy tears
But what if it was you who was afraid instead?
And tears were of sadness which you do dread.
What if tears were tough and thick as blood?
Or jubilant joy when new flowers would bud
Leaves not brown and became green again
By God who also made women and men.
There is something that is even better yet
Saw tiny baby being washed in a bassinet
With a cheery, happy face we had found
We enjoyed and appreciated having around.
Although there may still be tears in my eyes
Each time I will have them makes me realize
If it wasn't for God's son who is our friend
We would not be saved from our each sin.
Instead of being despicable and deplorable
God living in us is truly, always adorable
After all our sins we have been confessing
God created bright new day with His blessing.
