Coming Back Home
Coming Back Home
Called home my nomadic heart yearns to unpack scattered shadows,
Ornaments of new year snowstorms and souvenirs of summer places,
Mirrors found in attic reflections - hallmarks of nostalgia,
Image refractions of mirages battered milestones -
Nests of hidden pleas and prayers in locked trunks -
Garlands of tangled seasons and dried bouquets.
Blue winds embrace Orion’s pirouette on mountain points
As abandoned minutes surrender in reunion to
Call back identities shed like out grown skin,
Kindle roaring beasts - fire storm’s passions swooping down.
Home awaiting unspoken future days when trying on again
Outgrown masks of jeopardy discarded, seeking crannies of warm hearths,
Making room for nascent triumphs to tickle laughter no longer stooping
Even as my nomad heart wanders only to return in primal circles.
