Comforting Thoughts I Ponder

I stand beside still waters and wonder Such peace filling my heart this day, So many comforting thoughts I ponder I stand beside still waters and wonder At the affirming sounds of voices fonder, Reminding me of my principles at play, I stand beside still waters and wonder Such peace filling my heart this day.

Yes. I sort of like it myself. We can never have enough poem touting peace in our personal lives, especially when the world is full of turmoil.

A very peaceful verse, Milton, I would have hated to leave such a place after finding such serenity . . .

Oh, Andrea, I've written so many of them over the years. I do love a good one, but I don't think many poets do them. I'm a sucker for repeated lines. Then, of course, I invited my take on the triolet/sonnet, which is the trionet.
