Indeed! Great compromise, the key to progress, is found by taking a little from both extremes making something new that is stronger and more creative than imagined. It takes listening, thinking and great creativity. Our boys called Oreo Cookies Middleman Cookies with the sweetest part in the middle - the newly created! Here's to Oreo cookies and milk and all that can be created from these two basic ingredients!

Never been fond of the being in the middle. Mostly I've found things get squashed in the middle of the road. Much of what is called compromise didn't really resolve many things. The concept of 3/5 of a man never seemed right to me. I get the point though, the constant noise from both flanks makes one want to hide away in dark solitude.

Certainly understand how you feel, my friend... I've found the fringes to be a bit much for my taste. I flirted with both the left and the right as a young man, and I found the hatred and virulent anti-semitism a signal for this Jew to scram! ~ Cautious Calvin
