Coloured In Blue

Coloured in blue, never come true Deny all the comfort I'm gaining from you A limitless love as high as the sky Now it's such a shame I forgot how to fly Caged in, captured, you clipped my wings To stop me from seeking spectacular things The infinate blue sky is mottled with grey and all of the reasons that you couldn't stay and all the excuses that you wouldn't say The games that you won, you wont let me play I'd shout at the top of my lungs and I'd pray if I knew that a God could hear what I say But beyond the sky I dont think heaven hears For the rain represents every heartbroken tear Expanding before me in puddles of fear 28th June 2011

If we allow people to "clip our wings," we'll never be able to forge ahead when a relationship fails, Jodie. Love the last line's description of "puddles of fear." Love, Carolyn

lovely poem, really nice meter apart from one or two spots. Like the association of heartbreak you've made with raindrops & puddles. enjoyed
