Notes About The Poem

Colors of Love

We walk, hand in hand, surrounded by green
where breeze through the trees makes color serene.

We stop for a while; you give me a kiss
as sun's mellow yellow radiates bliss.

Resuming our stroll, some flowers we see.
They are the colors of felicity -

A rainbow of hues from bright orange to
rosy and pink, then to purple and blue.

All nature around, those colors of spring,
reflect the sweet love that makes my heart sing.

And beautiful blue is the heaven above -
just one of the many colors of love.

I don't buy that that you are unable to " feel" the colours in Casarah's pic prompt, ...you are an accomplished writer, who I have admired from the day I arrived, ...and should be able to blow her contest out the water.....using any number of devices and forms that lesser writers dream of mastering...xx Ian Andrea Dietrich June 10, 2016 at 9:20 AM Some topics just sing to us, like the five word challenge tim gave us or the cemetery challenge we got from Broken Wings. Those, for example, are the ones of mine you might want to check out. Of course, more than half my poetry is going to seem safe to you , especially those in which I had to write from a picture I saw in a contest or on topics that normally would not occur to me. WE can only go so far with certain topics (at least that is how it is for me) Andrea Dietrich June 10, 2016 at 9:13 AM that was a typo that I forgot the word "a" so thanks for pointing that out to me. Lines are limited for this poem. My time is limited too, so this was all I could come up with in the time I had to work on it.
