Colors

Pink Penelope Porcupine, Didn't have a clue, That her vivid coloring, Could be misconstrued! Failure to acknowledge, Her less then friendly gaze, Resulted in back lashes, To her pink and prickly face! She did not understand, The grand scheme of things, As her head began to ring, Blows will do that, Boy did they sting! The ban on quills stifled her still, Since without, She could not get about! In the hope to be seen, As a more pleasant being, She dyed herself blue, So, she could fade into the scheme of things! Until the scheme would change, Blue Penelope Porcupine, Was ahead of the game, Which was fine with her. She couldn't lose, There were so many more colors to choose!
