Collection of Thought One

I like politics but I hate the drawn out game, I love to discuss but hate the death of debate, From where I sit everyone needs some shame, and stop pointing fingers and assigning so much blame, Keep my lines light, I’ve had enough of the sad, and I concentrate on the positive after all I’m a dad, Explaining to my kids that it’s now cool to be a victim, instead I’ll teach them strength and always be here to defend them, Go through your life with your head held high, cause everyone on earth will someday die, And there is no reason to worry about where or when, because when a soul departs its on its way to re-begin, And sometimes, although wrong, you may have to lie, but in those moments, own up, cause it’s much worse to deny, Promise me you’ll never be ashamed to be you, and if this feeling creeps in just make sure you stay true, But that’s not the same as showing your humility, be just like your dad giving only the respect that’s given to me, And this is just a list of things I needed you to hear and see, stand your ground in this society because it will try and bring you to your knees, Keep a calm head, don’t lose your cool all that often, because when you regret what you say, you take that **** to the coffin, Anyways this is just a letter from your dear old dad, and when you’re old enough to read this think of good times we’ve had, We spend too much of our lives concentrating on the bad, lets all stop with the negative, seemingly trying to be mad. P.S. Love Dad
