Cold December

It was cold the day you left us The chill in the air still remains Why did you have to leave us on that cold December day? Your fight was brave, your determination strong, But you just kept fighting, kept moving on I will fight till the end, you said And then you were gone Some nights when I’m all alone I think about all the things we have done I think about all the times that we had I think about all the times I had with my dad I can’t wait to see you again Then we can go fishing. We can talk about things we used to About life and love and how we made it through. I will get by, I’ll be okay But I miss you dad And I look forward to the day I’ll meet you on the other side, my friend Until we meet again.
