Cobwebs in the early morning are a wondrous sight Displaying their beauty in the scintillating sunlight Such a delicate trap put on display To allure a spider’s innocent prey Drops of dazzling diamante dew Sparkle on your web so fresh and new Your weaving talents you had to showcase With silvery strands spun into gossamer lace A tiny fly gets caught and you swiftly attack Wrap her in silk blanket for your mid morning snack Wordscapes contest Sponsored by John Hamilton 09~08~16

Hi Jan, this is an excellent write, an excellent imaginative look at the spider's web. You truly see it through the poets eyes. Such silken, descriptive words, one can easily see the web described. Being an arachna bobic one does not picture the owner of said web. A beautiful write indeed. This is a seven and has to be a fave. Hugs....Mike. XX

I almost feel like it wasn't really about a spider at all. There should be a word for that when you use images and what not. Great poem as always
