COAL MINING GIRLS
When their years then approach teenage
In manual work they must engage
So they’re sent out to earn a wage
Some are sent to work in the pit
A filthy world that’s candle lit
To help owner make huge profit
The collier men there hack and hack
With pick axes they break the rock
To win those tons of precious black
Those colliers are but brutal men
Girls try to keep away from them
But there’s close contact now and then
On this the word soon gets around
Just what goes on there underground
The true facts of this must be found
Those poor girls dare not let on
For victims they would soon become
And also their jobs would be gone
