Clouded Thoughts
I climbed to reach the highest heights
To quell and calm my troubled soul
Hard labour to empty my mind
Engulfed in swathes of greys and whites
The obscuration of the goal
Views and solutions ill defined
Captivating, though shrouded sights
Appear sentient and in control
As through clouds wisdom is refined
Mist and mind swirl, put world to rights
Off the ground, where my peace they stole
My way forward is now outlined
Heaven sent is this earthbound view
I know the sun always breaks through
