Cloud Castles

As a girl, I imagined a place to be Sprinkled in stardust, where grassy skies rotate A pirate nymph, commanding the purple sea Leaping unicorns across a rainbow gate A lush kingdom of color and harmony Of horizons unbroken, of dreams ornate Now, I wander my glen of nostalgic wood Rebuilding the cloud castles of my childhood. 2/1/19

What a lovely tribute to most-loved childhood memories. A fantasy full of cloud castles, wouldn't it be wonderful to keep those fantasy's alive? Congrats!

Lovely to think of childhood memories Michelle - those of us who can, as I imagine the children who have grown up in squatter camps here in South Africa, have no loving recollection of their young lives. However you took me back to mine, and therefore fav. this poem. An excellent write Michelle, I will be posting a poem soon about these dreadful squatter camps and how sorry I feel for these people. Michelle, there is a delightful, child-like sense of fantasy in this write. Very nicely done and I see it gave you a POTD. How nice! It was very difficult for me to judge this contest because contestants wrote so many incredibly beautiful poems.
