Closed For Season
It's always sad for me to see,
No matter what the reason,
A sign in an establishment
Announcing "Closed for Season."
Today it was the Dairy Barn,
An ice cream place for me.
The flavors listed "pumpkin"
But it wasn't meant to be.
For it was shuttered, locked and dark
And bore that dreaded sign -
Vacation for the owners
But the disappointment mine.
