    neon lights and enchantment

    The solitude screams 
    sad urban development

This is a true depiction of a city. Everything is synthetic there and life is mechanical. Great observations. Congratulations Anne on your placement.

Anne-Lise, I just spent some time walking around NY city. Many of the people are in their own little world despite being surrounded by others. It's all very strange. Your poem captures some of that isolation. Smiles!!!

While on one hand it seems like the night life is fun but then there are no connections that have any meaning. Just cold concrete, steel and glass. Great deep work. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K
