Circumstantial Evidence 1

In hindsight it was a very dark day when this child
was born. It is a terrible thing to say about an
innocent child, but looking back, you will understand
as this story unfolds.
The early signs started at the unbelievable age of
three. His aunt tells the story of while she was
sleeping she woke up, startled to find knives placed
all around her. To her amazement her nephew at the
age of three had placed those knives around her by
his own admittance. This is how early his craving for
killing had started. Can you imagine?
It was in 1961 when a quiet home in Tacoma
Washington would be violated. It was a rainy night,
and its hard to hear anything when there is thunder
and lightening and rain pouncing on your roof. Wind
was howling. A real storm brewing.
Beverly Burr lived there with her husband and
children. One of her daughters Anne Marie shared a
room with her sister. Ann Marie had two brothers that
lived in the basement of the house.
Outside on that night evil was lurking. A dark soul
surviving on sordid dark addictions of committing
murder. It was late at night. The window downstairs
was propped open to let the television antennae out
for better reception. That propped window could allow
this demented intruder to enter.
Beverly always got up early. She as a loving parent
would check on her children periodically. Call it
mother's instinct. It was approximately five thirty in the
morning. She went into the girls room first, and noticed
Ann Marie was missing. She quickly went downstairs
and checked the kitchen and checked the downstairs
basement where her boys were. Ann Marie was not there.
She went upstairs screaming! Waking her husband and
everyone else in the house up. They all frantically started
looking everywhere for her. Underneath the bed, in the
closets. Still, sadly they could not find her.
The police were immediately called. Several detectives
had notice a size seven shoe ( which was very puzzling
to them, such a small sneaker print.) It was found outside
the downstairs window, along with a red strand of fiber.
They checked their records of any felons in the immediate
area. They checked all their leads. At the time, what they
initially found, was most of the evidence they had. They
also were told by Mrs Burr's neighbor that, they had seen
someone peering through that specific window where they
found the sneaker prints. Investigating further the police
did not find anything else.
