Churro

I told myself just one— two, max. But you were hot, sugar-laced, pressed into shape some ancient, grooved machinery I’ve never been strong enough to resist. I knew better. Knew how this ends: oily regret bubbling just beneath the pleasure. Still, I bit down until I was dizzy with want and half-cracked sweetness. Now I’m sick on everything I swallowed pretending it was worth it. And still—I’d do it again if you were warm, and near, and looking.

lol. Churros, eh? They look like 'sugar sticks' to me. Frightening, actually... But no worse for you than my poison pill - potato chips - are for me. ~ gw

Well now you've just made me want to write a burrito poem, Arlo. Gosh, I hope that's your real name. It's a good one.

Churros are designed to entice. Yet they are innocuous. Humans however less measured in their proclivity.. I love the duality of this.. but as such I have churros on my mind! I now need a salad poem. Nicely done. Blessings S:) x

Ahhh...kindred spirits--I too have churros on my mind xD It's an extended metaphor, of course, but dang churros really are delicious.
