Christmas Windows V - Carolers

As stated before - this is poetry for kids, through the eyes of kids. Kids read poetry too, why not more writing for them? It's not so common these days what with all the media craze but Just the other night I was looking out my window at this unusual sight - four children from the neigborhood two girls and two boys were strolling down the sidewalk bathed in candlelight They couldn't have been but 8 or 9 yet singing well in pitch and time........ "The finest gift you have to give the world is Love Love Love"

daver I disagree with the note you left here that your poems are for kids. I think they are more for the KID inside US as adults. Kids will not really appreciate them unless they are mature teens! LUv, Andrea

Daver, this is just too beautiful. Fills my heart with great joy. Let's hear it for the children, and for the wonderful poet, who knows what it's all about. Awesome. Love, Shar

Beautiful poem. I love Christmas carols, and as a child I used to go around caroling with my friends sometimes. Mostly the reactions we got were good ones. Once a lady asked us to sing over the phone to her sister in Germany, which was very cool. Another time though, a man actually chased us away! He thought we wanted money, but actually all we wanted to do was sing Christmas carols to people. You have to wonder about some people. lol ~Juliane

... I, and my family are Swedish moslty, with a bit of Danish thrown in - and she was like A Valkyrie Goddess, so beautiful! I wrote this as her speaking to me, me being a Valhalla warrior - sword in hand, doing what she could not here, on this earth - fighting against the dark, and not giving in to it. Does that make sense? That is the basic meaning, with a whole lot of underlying meanings as well. Please reread it, and let me know if it makes more sense now, I value your input. :) Love, me

Daver, I never want this \Christmas season to end, as then so, will your Christmas poetry - this is so beautiful, in its purety and simplicity - as that is what the true meaning of this time is all about. :) As for Valhalla...that poem is about my mother. She died tragically when I was 7 (she, 26) and was so beautiful, she stole the light from your eyes upon looking at her. :) Eveeyone always said she was too good for this earth, to shiny, to pure, to angelic - and the dark stole her away...
