The Sights and Sounds
The sights and sounds at Christmas time, fill our hearts with cheer
A special time when family and friends are gathered near
The shops play lots of Christmas tunes to put us in the mood
As shoppers search for special gifts and lots of festive food
Each house is all dressed up with lights that twinkle through the night
And windows lit with Christmas trees are such a pretty sight
The stockings are all laid out straight upon the mantle place
And candy canes upon the tree light up a tiny face
Some Moms are busy baking treats to share on Christmas day
And happy voices fill the house as children start to play
There's turkey in the oven and the smell of fresh baked bread
Then later on a little one is ready for her bed.
I now will end my little rhyme with wishes all to you
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too :-)
