Good Mr. Mr. Daniel. Hi. A belated Christmas Wishes to you and a belated Happy New Year Too. Yes, the poinsettia is the flower and plant of the season. Both the read and white are lovely as is your entry. The rhyme was never forced and you wrote with beauty and grace just at the poinsettia herself. May 2024 bring all things good for you. Peace and Blessings now and always. Have a beautiful morning and day. (smile)

Thank you, Kelli. In my research I discovered that is a myth. They are not poisonous. They may cause a rash or upset stomach but thats it. Always great to see you my dear. Happy New Year!

Short and extremely sweet, Daniel I wish you all you wish yourself for Christmas and 2024 will bring you better health and less stress than this year. Thank you for your kind comments. I have been very lax both with reading and commenting on others poetry this year and hope to change that in the coming one. Joy and happiness to you and yours, Dan, My kind poetic friend, Take care, Old Duck.

Nice poem to a beautiful flower. I've seen pictures of them growing on hills in Central America. They color the whole hill red. Your rhyming was perfect.

They certainly are a beautiful flower, and not just the red variety. I think the pink ones with variegated leaves are so very lovely. A pleasure to read your greeting of the queen.
