Christmas Passing Away
Twas a night so cold before Christmas Day
snow flake spray with blinking light’s on display,
Children with sparkling thought’s of Santa’s sleigh,
tinkling bells ringing with carolers singing, away
In the manger, that held a baby that night so long ago,
a bright star is place upon a tree top to show
The meaning behind children's smiles that glow,
a time of cheer and love connecting all to, one.
Feasts of plenty filling the tummy then snoring away,
parades and football games while the children play.
This, a year has passed with sadness of a virus,
all masked and six feet apart leaving this year,
Behind us
.
